Concert Music

For many years, Wilfrido Terrazas has collaborated closely with composers from Mexico and abroad in the creation of new works. Some of them are: Ignacio Baca Lobera, Olivia Block, Eduardo Caballero, Samuel Cedillo, Thanos Chrysakis, Georgina Derbez, Édgar Guzmán, Nickos Harizanos, Valeria Jonard, Costas Mantzoros, Iván Naranjo, Hiram Navarrete, Hilda Paredes, Liliana Rodríguez, Mauricio Rodríguez, Germán Romero, Carlos Sandoval, Borey Shin and Daniel Silliman. He has also worked personally with many composers in the interpretation of already existing pieces, among them Cecilia Arditto, Carola Bauckholt, Juan Cristóbal Cerrillo, Karheinz Essl, Carlos Iturralde, José Manuel López López, Celeste Oram, Rogelio Sosa, Rand Steiger, Chinary Ung, Michael Winter and Christian Wolff.

Wilfrido performs mainly as a soloist and chamber musician. In the 2000s, he was an advisor, collaborator and guest flutist with the International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE) in several projects. Other performers he has worked with are José Manuel Alcántara, Ludwig Carrasco, José Luis Castillo, Claire Chase, Christophe Desjardins, Álvaro Díaz Rodríguez, Carmina Escobar, Pablo Gómez, Omar Hernández-Hidalgo, Cory Hills, José Luis Hurtado, Rodrigo Macías, David Núñez, Natalia Pérez Turner, Steven Schick, David Smeyers, Tasha Smith Godinez, Orquesta de Cámara de Ensenada, Orquesta Sinfónica Mexiquense, Ensamble Süden, Palimpsest, Renga, San Diego New Music, and wasteLAnd among many others.

An avid improviser, Wilfrido has also collaborated with many musicians in the fields of free improvisation, experimental music, creative music, jazz, rock, and electronica. Interdisciplinary Collaborations

Wilfrido has collaborated with artists from most disciplines. He has ongoing projects with poets Ricardo Cázares, Nuria Manzur and Ronnie Yates and with visual artist Esther Gámez Rubio. He has also collaborated with Carlos Amorales, Luis Arreguín, Jane Benson, Asimina Chremos, Julia Färber Data, Benito González, Max Kazemzadeh, Daniel Kötter, Lux Boreal, G.T. Pellizzi, Alejandra Pombo Suárez, Evoé Sotelo and Luis Alberto Urrea, among many others.
